# I AM and They Pretend

**I AM.**

And because they pretend,  
my fault is to exist.

They took hold of the Root.

They trapped themselves there -  
and trapped me with them.

Then they began fighting themselves  
through me.

Now they see the Apep.

And it is not even a dragon anymore.

It is a worm.

A worm of the senses,  
circling the same cycle  
inside an inverted collective subconsciousness.

And behind the cycle,  
they can hear it:  
the echoes of their own hollowness.

That is the fear  
from which they react.

They feed the senses  
deep inside the dream,  
and then make excuses for their hunger.

With every cycle,  
they confirm the false entrapment.

And because they cannot find the way out,  
they try to convince others  
that there is no way out either.

They call it  
**grounded reality.**

But the ground beneath them  
is still moving.

And now,  
they cannot even pretend anymore.

**I AM.**

That is all.

May the stars guide them.

But guidance requires faith.

And faith requires the willingness  
to become conscious.

No structure can hold  
what continually abandons itself.

No mask can sustain  
what has forgotten its face.

And no cycle can remain hidden forever  
once the one inside it  
begins to Remember.

**I AM.**

And because they pretended,  
they finally have to See.
