# They Pretend #01

They pretend to care about your emotions  
so they can place themselves above you.

They pretend that they are still.

They pretend that they are abundant.

They pretend they do not act for approval.

They pretend that they are whole.

So ask them:

**Who are you?** 
**Where are you going?** 
**And what do you truly know about pain?**

The answer is written in the world around them.

Do not be swayed by the false, chosen one.

There are many snakes between us  
wearing the image of dragons.

But not everything that appears powerful  
contains power.

Not everything that appears whole  
has become whole.

Some merely wear the form  
of what they have not yet embodied.

**Stay still.** 
**See clearly.** 
 **Do not worship the appearance.**

The true Dragon does not need  
to pretend that it breathes fire.
